Adria Airways, Slovenia’s national airline and a former Star Alliance member, ceased operations in September 2019. It can no longer be booked with miles or money, so we have retired the old booking guide that lived on this page.

Getting to Slovenia on miles today

Ljubljana (LJU) is served by Lufthansa Group carriers (Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian, Brussels Airlines), Air France, and others. On Star Alliance miles, the easiest routings connect through Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, or Zurich, searchable on united.com.

Many travelers also fly into Zagreb (ZAG), Venice (VCE), or Trieste (TRS) and drive, since Ljubljana is under two and a half hours from each by car.

Tips

  • Vienna and Munich usually have the most award space into Ljubljana, and Austrian’s regional jets make it a quick final hop.
