I’m the editor of TopMiles and mainly review airlines, hotels, and other travel products that you can experience using miles and points.

Like most kids, I used to dream about traveling the world. I know it’s a cliche, but I literally remember spinning the globe in my room, stopping it with my index finger, and seeing which country I landed on.

This was back in the age of AOL, dialup modems, and floppy disks. Seeing the world was just a fantasy with little hope of becoming a reality.

This all changed in 2008 during my summer break from college. I went to China for the Beijing Olympics using savings from my small online startup. This was my first trip abroad and I was instantly bit by the travel bug.

Since then I’ve traveled to over 80 countries almost exclusively through the use of miles and points earned through credit card sign up bonuses and spend. The miles hobby is a complicated one, with many different rules and regulations. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with the amount of information out there.

I created TopMiles to help simplify the complicated world of miles, and guide those who are new to this world by taking them step by step from earning rewards all the way to booking your award flight.
