Korean Airlines is a Skyteam member located in Korea that primarily flies to regional destinations within Asia. Korean Airlines also has flights to numerous cities in North America & Europe, and a few select cities in Australia & South America.

Korean Airlines has a standard open suite, with fairly comfortable seats. There is an on board bar and gift shop.  In flight food choices range from okay to excellent. Alcohol selection is first-rate, with top tier champagne. With wide open availability, Korean Airlines is one of few airlines that consistently release multiple seats for award redemptions. This is useful for trips with family members.

How to Search for Award Space in Korean Air

To search for award space on X, you will need to use the British Airways website, which is a partner of X..

Step 1

Log in to your SkyPass account on Korean Air. If you don’t have an account yet, click this link o sign up.

Step 2

Click Book a Flight on the top left hand corner.

Click Award Booking, then enter the following information:

  • Departure and arrival city.
  • Desired travel dates
  • Pick cabin class
  • Pick one-way or round trip

Click find flights.

A list of flights will show up. Write down any available award space; make sure to include flight number, dates, and cabin class. If you would like to change the date, you can click on the dates within the week or select the change button.

NOTES:

If you are trying to add in a stopover in Seoul, you will have to search each flight leg individually.
You will have to search for an award flight from the US to Seoul, and then from Seoul to your final destination.

Write down both flights with available award space

You can call Korean Air at 800-438-5000 FREE to put your award on hold. Korean Air allows you to hold your award space for up to thirty days so you can have time to finalize your plans before claiming your flight.
