Finnair, a OneWorld Alliance member located in Finland, primarily flies to regional destinations within Europe. It also has flights to numerous cities in Asia and a few select cities in the United States.
Finnair’s long haul aircrafts feature fully lie flat seats in business class, making it a great option for Americans using their AAdvantage miles to travel to Europe.
How to search for X award space:
To search for award space on X, you will need to use the American Airlines website, which is a partner of X.
Step 1
Log in to your AAdvantage account. If you don’t have one yet, click here to sign up.
Step 2
Go back to the AA Homepage and enter the following information:
- Choose either Round-Trip or One-Way
- Enter your departure and arrival city
- Enter your travel dates
- Enter the number of passengers
- Check Redeem Miles
After filling out all the necessary information, click Continue
Step 3
Click MileSAAver, and pick your preferred departure and return dates from the calendar below it. If you need to search more dates, click Show Full Calendar. Then, click Continue.
Step 4
Click on the date you want to travel. If your dates are flexible, clicking the left or right arrow will give you more options. The flights highlighted on top are the ones with award space available.
Step 5
Choose your preferred flight. Click details to see the details of the flight you desire. Write down the following information: flight number, dates, and cabin class.
Step 6
Call the frequent flier program you are trying to redeem your miles on and ask to speak to an agent. Once he or she is on the line, state the flights you’ve found available award space on and they should be able to book the award for you.
